About This Listing

Up for sale is a vintage classical guitar made by famous Japanese luthier Yukinobu Chai. This beautiful instrument was built in 1981 and labelled No.20 which denotes its value of 200,000 yen back to the day. All solid woods, Cedar top/Indian Rosewood back and sides of very high quality. Neck is genuine mahogany, fretboard is ebony. Bracing is classic 7-fan , scale is 650 mm, nut width is 52 mm. No excessive decoration applied here, as this design was focused on quality woods and sound. Excellent condition for 43 year old guitar - there is a general feel of use, couple dings on the top, a hairline lacquer crack along the top/neck joint (no wood is damaged, barely noticeable) and that's it. Strings are a little bit high (see the photo), but the saddle has enough space to lower it, if necessary. Sound is strong, mature, balanced, with distinctive Spanish character. Please ask for a demo and I'll record one for you. Comes in a hardshell case in great condition. I live in Stuttgart area, international shipping is possible (buyer takes care of custom's fees). Thanks!
