About This Listing

Late 80s to early 90s Kay 4 string bass. In very, very good condition. Took this on a trade for a Tubeworks amp a few weeks ago and have been enjoying playing with it. I am not a bass player by anymeans, I have had a couple of basses in the past and found them big, bulky and heavy. This one I guess is considered short scale with a 30" playing scale. Double cut body comes in at right over 6 lbs. Very nice neck, easy to maneuver with smooth fret ends. Very low action and sounds great. Someone set this up nice. From what I have been able to find these where made in Korea in late 80s/90s. They where well thought of because of the qualitiy of the neck. Red Metallic paint has very few hard to see blemishes. No cracks, some very small chips around the back access panal. ( see last picture ). Strings are like new as well. Very nice overall and well taken care of. Happy to answer any questions. Free shipping is inside 48 only and I will use extreme care when packing for shipment.
