Here's a vintage Electar amp from the 1930's. This was the first issue, before they included the Epiphone name, and of course LONG before Gibson purchased the company in the 1950's.

This is a single 10" combo with no controls. This was how the earliest amps were designed. Turn it on and GO! Sounds great with a big tubey tone with a slight breakup if you push it with strong pickups.

New power cable and capacitors. Old caps are included. Most are probably old replacements, but they are part of the amp's history. The big original cap cans are intact for that great retro vibe.

The original leather handle is long gone, which is typical.

The speaker appears to have been reconed. It is a Wright-Decoster Model 690, 1000 ohm field coil.

The power transformer looks to be of the era but is mounted unusually, leading me to think it is a replacement.

The tubes are an 80 rectifier, a 6L6^ power tube, and a 6J7 preamp tube.

The blonde tweed would look great with another grill cloth, but that is an easy fix. I will let the next owner choose the color.

Thanks for looking!
