This is a SUPER Epiphone Wildkat Koa
It has been modified by a professional luthier. The Wildkat is famous for having loud humming sounds specially if playing live somewhere. This one has been upgraded to the best components for the best tone and quality sounds.
It has been completely re-wired with the best components available in today’s market.
A list of updated components:
2 - Lollar P90 50’s wound Dog Ear pickups (one for the neck and bridge as well) valued at $250
4 - Mojotone 500k Vintage Taper CTS short shaft potentiometers
(Re-wired as a Gretchen G2420 with one master volume, one master tone and independent bridge and neck volume knobs)
1 - Mojotone Dijon 22uF 600v capacitor
1 - MuryFX Treble Bleed Circuit
4 - Matching Golden Knobs
All vintage cloth wiring
The luthier got rid of about 7-8” of wiring that was just a lot of extra capacitance. now it’s impeccable inside and plays like a dream.
- Ships with an Epiphone Wildkat Case (not included retail with the guitar)
This guitar is now an excellent guitar all the way around. Sounds and plays great.
Original pickups included as souvenir.
*Note* There was a crack developing on neck near headstock shown in image, repaired professionally by luthier with a strong durable hold to alleviate any durability concerns (happy to answer any question or share more pictures if needed on this note)
