About This Listing

The Sweet Honey Overdrive (SHOD) is a touch sensitive, low gain overdrive pedal. It's the best-selling Mad Professor overdrive pedal of all time. The sheer dynamics of the Sweet Honey Overdrive make it one of those must-own pedals. The level of distortion can be controlled by the attack of the pick and the strength of the pickup. Like a great tube amplifier, softer picking corresponds to a cleaner sound while harder picking unleashes a great overdrive rich in harmonics. With the unique Focus control, you can adjust the feel and dynamics of the pedal, as well as the overall EQ. Turning the Focus knob counterclockwise requires you to play louder to get the distortion and the sound is softer, great for jazz and blues. The Focus knob turned clockwise gives a slight boost to the treble and more immediate distortion, great for classic rock.

The Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive is a medium gain, touch sensitive overdrive that aims to add dirt based on pick attack.
