Beautiful sounding Japanese classical guitar from Nagoya!

This guitar has been through a lot in its life, but the sound and playability of the instrument are incredible! This is a tremendous instrument from Suzuki Violin Co., one of their higher end (not the highest) models. The age of the guitar is palpable in its sound. The materials are very nice as well. Back and sides are a beautiful solid Japanese mahogany that seems to shift with the light. Top is a very high quality compressed laminate.

Condition issues are evident and purely cosmetic. The neck is very straight. Intonation is perfect. No bridge lift or bulge. Saddle has a chip (see photos) and there is a contusion of the endpin block, as well as a screw hole from the strap button. Fretboard is a solid ebony, frets are in very good condition as is the nut. Action about 2.5mm at 12th fret with plenty of room to lower if desired. Tuning machines are in good condition with a lovely patina showing the decades, and are quite stiff. If buying this as an everyday player, you might want to replace or service them. They are functioning, just stiff.

The sound of the guitar is profoundly nuanced, well balanced, and powerful. This is a truly beautiful instrument despite its flaws.
