If vintage Archtops are your thing, then this Synchromatic won't disappoint!
This Gretsch Snychromatic circa 1941 sounds great. It has a beautiful mid-rangey tone that projects really well and is perfect for Jazz! It's made with a Spruce top and Flamed Maple back and sides, Flamed Maple neck, and a Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. It has a 1.715" nut width, a 24.75" scale length, and it weighs 5 pounds 13 ounces. It features a 7.25" radius and a really unique neck feel that is super comfortable. The neck is slightly thicker towards the bass strings, and is thinner at the treble strings. It has its original Grover tuners, which are in very good condition. It comes with a hard shell case, which is in very good condition.
This guitar is in good condition. It's fully functional and it plays great! It was just given a neck reset, and a crack on both the back and on the side were repaired by Delgado guitars here in Nashville. The frets appear to have been replaced at some point as well. The binding on the pickguard is mostly completely gone, and the binding on the body has been glued back as well. It looks like there's unfortunately some glitter glue on two of the pickguard screws, and a small jewel and "H" on the headstock.
This guitar isn't without its cosmetic quirks, but it has a ton of life left in it! It sounds great, so don't miss out!
