Sundown A-50 Mid 80's - Tweed

This is the best condition version of this amp that exists and I know that because I have been looking for years lol. Kind of fell in my lap and I have already committed my poor pedal board to running two pro Juniors in stereo. This amp does it all though for real. It has separate effects loops for the clean and dirty channel, a fantastic post phase inverter master volume coupled to an RMS knob. That knob actually lifts the cathode gradually on the output section thusly creating a quasi-cathode bias circuit so you can cut the wattage down to like 20 watts. At the full 50 it's freaking loud. Like Mesa Mark 1 loud. Currently loaded with a speaker that really tamed the treble and smoothed out the overdrive on this putting it into VHT d50 tonal territory. Eurotubes 6l6s along with an assortment of vintage and new preamp tubes. The cabinet is a brand new pine cabinet and Birch baffle by JD Newell. Basically I'm charging for the cabinet and the speaker and you get a piece of '80s history guitar technology for free lol. With the dual effects loops and the myriad of preamp gain and wattage options there's not a whole lot this amp can't cover. I will also include the original head cabinet if you pay for shipping. Oh it also has new caps. The closest amp that I have heard to this is an original Mesa Mark 1 or a d50. With the gain crank up a definitely has a JCM 800 thing going on but less harsh. That speaker really worked magic on this amp giving it a very American tonality. The cleans are straight up Mesa Mark 1 cleans.
