Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic Player Stratocaster by Yuriy Shishkov 2001 has arrived, a great guitar built by the Master Builder!

Yuriy Shishkov, who generously infuses his works with supreme craftsmanship and custom inlay techniques, is truly a figure who should be called a true artist. Yuri's career began when he started making guitars for friends in a small attic in the town of Gomel, his hometown in the former Soviet Union.

After immigrating to the United States in 1990 and settling in Chicago, Yuri collaborated with top artists such as the late Dimebag Darrell of Pantera, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Nuno Bettencourt, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, and Paul Stanley of Kiss. In 2000, he became a Master Builder at the Custom Shop. The exceptional level of his inlay technique is noteworthy, as he has created numerous breathtakingly beautiful pieces of art.

This is a "Custom Classic Player Stratocaster" crafted by Yuriy Shishkov. The serial number is "YS033," indicating it was made in 2001, shortly after Yuri joined the Fender Custom Shop.

The "Custom Classic Player Stratocaster" model adopts specifications demanded by the modern music scene, such as locking tuners and a two-point tremolo bridge, enhancing practicality and playability. It was marketed as a higher-end version of the American Standard Custom Shop version, the "Custom Classic Strat."

As this is a guitar crafted by a Master Builder, it's difficult to definitively determine the wood materials and specifications, but it likely features an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with 22 frets. The neck shape is neither too thick nor too slim, striking an exquisite balance. It uses a 9.5-inch radius, reducing potential issues like fret choking common with vintage specs. The frets are likely stainless steel.

The pickups appear to have "Fender Noiseless Pickup" labeling, faint on the neck and center positions and absent on the bridge. While there is no labeling on the back, considering the pickups are likely from the same era, it's possible that only the rear cover has changed or all pickups have been modified and are not entirely noiseless.

The tuners are locking Spertzel tuners, and a roller nut is used for the nut. The control layout consists of VOL / 2TONE and a 5-way selector, with the tone control not affecting the rear pickup. This Stratocaster beautifully blends Yuriy's craftsmanship with the usability of a modern classic model!

Condition: Professionally cleaned and set up with new strings (D'Addario).

No problem with the electric systems. Neck is straight and the truss rod works with no issues. Frets remain over 80 percent.

Although it has minor scratches and dents, tarnishing. The pickguard has holes, there's a signature on the back, and there are stains near the rear pickup. Additionally, there's a small chip on the edge of the fretboard near the 6th string at the 11th fret. However, none of these issues significantly affect playability. Please note that the tremolo arm is missing.

Comes with a hard shell case and certificate of authenticity.
