For sale today is a restored Kay Thin Twin from between 1956-1958. This guitar came to us with a bad neck angle and our luthiers gave it a much needed neck re-set. The neck pickup was dead on arrival as well so we re-wound it and now it rings like a bell. The playability on this guitar is fantastic with the neck being monstrously thick and super low action. The playability on this guitar is immense with only minimal buzzing at the low low action that it currently has. Both pickups have interesting tonal characteristics of their own. It has original frets. The pickguard is in great shape also. The maple on the top and back of the guitar has a good amount of figuring and it is contrasted beautifully with the darker mahogany sides, and neck. The double binding around the body looks good too. There are some minor pick scratches on the top, and one larger scratch on the back which you should be able to see accurately in the photos. Please let us know if you have any questions on this awesome vintage thin-twin and we will do our best to help. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
