Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Phil and Don Everly, performing together as The Everly Brothers, were amongst the most popular artists in the world during the early rock era of the 1950s and early 1960s. Their seamless, soaring harmonies were supported by their driving rhythm parts played on matching Gibson acoustic guitars! Our friends at Gibson are extremely proud to celebrate The Everly Brothers rich musical legacy with the re-introduction of the Everly Brothers J-180!
With a Sitka Spruce top, paired up with Maple back & sides this J-180 is super punchy and features a crystal-clear top end whilst still retaining a balanced and full frequency range. This model is complete with all the decorative details that make the Everly Brothers models instantly recognisable. It features an Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer alongside the iconic double tortoise shell moustache pickguards.
The Mahogany neck features a comfortable SlimTaper profile, allowing for quick and easy movements right across the entire guitar. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is adorned with the iconic Mother of Pearl Graduated Star inlays, a 24.75 scale length, 20 vintage frets, 43.815mm nut width and a bone nut.
With an L.R. Baggs VTC pickup this guitar is perfect for use at home, in the studio, or even on the road. Its finished off with a bone saddle, TUSQ bridge pins and Grover Rotomatic tuners!
