1977 Ibanez 2451 (L6S) Natural All Original w/OHSC

1977 Ibanez 2451NT (L6S) totally original in great condition with OHSC.

Both the serial number and codes on the pickups date this guitar to May 1977 and she is quite a beauty considering she will be turning 47 this year. All original and is just a great playing and sounding guitar.

The action is great, frets are in great shape, super comfortable neck paired up with Ibanez Super Humbucking pickups and a pretty flexible sound palette. I hate to part with this one, it’s a fantastic player, but you can’t keep them all.

From a condition perspective the guitar is outstanding, especially for its age. No buckle rash but there are 4 issues I do want to call out and I have included pictures of all of them:

·There are a couple of wear spots on the back of the neck, right around the 2nd/3rd fret.

·There is a small chip near the top strap button,

·A small scratch in the top upper bout that is really hard to see, but I did get a shot that made it stand out a bit. Really hard to see in most of the pictures though and isn’t bad at all.

·The last is a scratch on the back between the cavity cover and the bottom strap button. It’s the worst one, but in the end isn’t very bad.

4: Both. parallel out of phase

5: Bridge pickup

6: Both. Series, out of phase

There are some great sounds available and the pickups sound fantastic as well. Pickups date to May 16, 1977, from the back they remind me of an Ibanez Super 80's and sound pretty close. There is some writing (Japanese I think)  in the neck pickup cavity, can’t tell you what it says but found it when checking the pickups.

Includes the original hard case and will be packed well for shipment.
