Up for sale here is a vintage 1975 Alembic F2-B tube preamp. Very early, serial number 332, still made in San Francisco, blue dot by the serial number, big toggle switch. Pots and caps date to 1975. One changed knob, and someone painted over the blue panels long ago, otherwise all there.

Works perfectly and sounds absolutely fantastic. Great on guitar, bass, keys, anything. Wide variety of sounds available from the very flexible tone controls and multiple signal routing options.

Pair this with the Sunn Coliseum Slave head I have listed for the loudest Showman in the universe.

Here's the official word: "The F-2B is a two channel tube preamp based off the classic Fender Showman circuit. With a pair of 12ax7 tubes the F-2B is highly versatile both in the studio and in live settings.

This is the same classic unit used by countless studios, it was integral to sounds of music icons like Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, who famously ran his for years into a Hiwatt Slave 100 head or DR103s with the preamps bypassed."
