High-output Maple Snare with 11mm Shell
At nearly half an inch (0.43-inch) thick, the all-maple Mapex Black Panther Solidus comes packing some serious heat. This 7-inch x 14-inch maple snare is your ticket to a huge snare sound live or in the studio. The added shell mass maximizes projection while helping to focus attack and dry out overtones. The result is a long-throw snare sound with the sensibility to stand up to the scrutiny of the studio. Rounded SONIClear bearing edges crowned with Sonic Saver triple-flanged hoops give the Mapex Solidus a mean rimshot and a fat, bellowing backbeat you can really dig into. Mapex's Saturn series lugs and quad-venting system give the Solidus snare that coveted Black Panther sonic presence and visual kick. And thanks to its extra-deep/extra-wide snare beds and cylinder-drive dual-adjustment throw off, the Solidus can be dialed in for precision sensitivity. Whether you're looking for a high-output maple snare for the stage or a highly mikeable snare for the studio, consider the Mapex Black Panther Solidus 14-inch maple snare drum
