Beautiful pair of early Dynaco A25's in great working condition. They have a few nicks and dings and some moisture staining on one of the tops, but all the drivers are perfectly functional, the grill cloths are nice and clean, both logos are present etc.
The A25 was introduced in 1969 by Dynaco. Dynaco was America, founded by legendary audio designer and engineer David Hafler, but was famous for being great at finding manufacturers in Europe to supply incredibly high quality parts, and full components that were high performing but low cost. The A25, sold outside the US as the SEAS A-25, was manufactured by Norweigen speaker manufacturer SEAS in Denmark. When introduced in the US Market in 1969 for the price of $70 each they were a MASSIVE hit.
This is still to this day, an incredible speaker and still impressive. They sound incredibly articulate, detailed and BIG. They have a 10" woofer that is as large as the cabinet will contain, and a doped fabric dome tweeter. This dome tweeter is truly one of the best ever made (IMHO) and is still impressive now. Crisp, meticulous detail without any harshness. The enclosure design is also very unique with a large port that is restrained with a lot of fiberglass batting, to give the woofer additional air but keep the enclosure tuned and precise.
In general this is a fantastic speaker and this pair is unmolested, all original and very nice.
I will package them in one large new box, double boxed, fully sealed and fully insured. They will arrive safely.
