About This Listing

It’s common knowledge that the best 12 strings out there are the Guild F series from the 1970’s. This fine guitar is a vintage (1974) natural wood Guild 12 string guitar. It has a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides.

The guitar was refurbished in 2005. The guitar was customized with brand new frets, hand-built brass tuners, B-Band electronics was added with two internal piezo pickups, also a JLD bridging was installed to enhance the sound and re-enforce the bridge, The sound volume controls are thumbwheels that are located just inside the sound hole.
The “good” condition means that It has some finish checking on the top, and some small chips and dings. A small part of the binding is discolored and chipped, but all solid. The back of the neck has some dings as well, with buckle wear on the back. But for a well played 50 year old guitar, this is to be expected. These minor imperfections don’t affect the sound and playability. It’s sounds loud and full with fantastic presence.

This fine instrument plays easily and it has a great room-filling sound when played either with or without using an acoustic guitar amp. The pickup gives a natural and balanced acoustic sound through an amp or PA system.

I don’t have the original case, but I have a solid hardshell Dean case for it. Check it out!
