About This Listing

This listing is for the PWR - classic graphics edition. This version of the PWR will be the only version available from this point on and it will be available indefinitely.

ABOUT:

Inspired by the incendiary roar that manifests when a full stack is turned up to 11, the PWR delivers mountains of harmonically rich distortion, eons of droning sustain and a versatile tone shaping section that allows you to sculpt the upper mids and highs over a wide range while leaving the lower mids and sub-bass unaffected, ensuring massive heaviosity at any setting.

UNDER THE HOOD:

The PWR’s circuit is designed around the LM386 power amp ic, a special purpose ic that has been popular among the DIY effect pedal community for many years, eventually finding it’s way into a handful of commercial pedal designs. But where as the short sighted vision of others have turned out acceptable but ultimately mundane and uninspiring offerings, the PWR “cracks the code” of this powerful chip delivering more gain and saturation than what should even be possible, but more than just that the PWR adds an ultra flexible control set that allows you to fine tune the parameters of this powerful distortion device so you can seamlessly fuse it with your individual rig’s tone and character. Last but not least, the PWR follows in the heavy footsteps of other Mountainking pedals with it’s ability to not only retain the low end of the signal that’s sent through but in fact boosts those ground quaking frequencies making it work equally well on drop tuned guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, synths, etc as it does on standard tuned 6 string guitars.
