This is an early Rob Allen bass, a wonderful player grade instrument. It features a quilt maple top, highly figured birdseye maple neck, Macassar ebony unlined fretboard and bridge, ash body. Unfortunately it has slight binding separation which was not repaired correctly and left some marks in that area. Goes without saying but it is extremely light at 6 lbs.
I tried my best to capture all the imperfections and it looks significantly worse in them than from 2 feet away. The woods on this bass are really beautiful and it plays and sounds amazing. It also features a drop D tuner as well as a matching headstock. Will come with a gig bag.
