1980's Bill Lawrence BT2-M "Mad Cat" Prince Model Telecaster (Natural)

Made in Japan in the 1980's in fairly limited numbers, the Bill Lawrence BT2-M Mad Cat was one of the better Prince Telecaster models ever made. With a lovely amber stain that's aged beautifully covering an ash body sandwiched between a black-bound solid birds-eye maple top and back separated by a walnut centre stripe bolted to a one-piece maple neck, it weighs 3.6kg's. The neck is comfortable and plays great with a 42mm nut width, a nice soft-v profile and 21 vintage frets. 
The original Bill Lawrence pickups were removed at some point (not included) by the previous owner and replaced with a Van Zandt bridge pickup and an unbranded neck pickup. The rest of the hardware is original along with the original pickguard and bridge surrounds.
Very clean vintage condition with only basic signs of wear from general use. The frets are shiny and smooth with life left and the truss works as it should. It was given a full professional setup and service prior to listing including an electronics flush, fret polish and restring.
