A lovely mid-1940's Orpheum Archtop acoustic guitar. My father purchased this guitar for himself when he returned from Okinawa at the end of WWII. It's been played gently but has the wear you'd expect from an 80 year old guitar. The guitar features lovely checkerboard binding and some truly beautiful flaming on the maple top and back. Original bakelite pick guard and matching trim at the neck heel are just a few of the cool period touches.. And the tone of this old girl is just sublime. If you're in the market for something unique and love old jazz box acoustics, don't let this one get away.
Note:
I understand that at $125, the shipping cost might appear high, but please be assured that if the actual cost of packaging, shipping and insuring the guitar is lower than $125, I will refund the difference. I’m not looking to profit from the shipping costs but I’ve learned that shipping and insuring a fragile hollowbody guitar can cost quite a bit more than you might guess. If the cost of shipping and insuring the guitar is more than $125, then I will make up the difference on my end. I hope that seems fair.
