This is a model that Avalon (before the Lowden divorce) produced in Korea for several years. Avalon is, along with the Martin, Taylor, Maton or the aforementioned Lowden brands, a world-class manufacturer of acoustic guitars and even their semi-lute models such as the AS100 feature beautiful, deep tone and top-notch workmanship, which is evident in the top grain, natural bindings, materials used and finish.

The top of this guitar is the thickest I've seen, which generates a powerful, selective sound and gives a feeling of indestructibility. The neck reminds me of a Gibson's, very comfortable, C-shaped. I would describe the sound of this guitar as warm, lively and selective. Perfect for pop, rnb, church/gospel music, jazz. Sounds great with chords and fingerstyle.
