Mid 1960s American-made Silvertone manufactured by Harmony (stamped H167 on interior). Solid spruce top, solid birch sides and back. Ladder braced. Recent professional neck reset, new saddle (tusq), nut (tusq) and wood pins. Action is medium with the low E at 3mm (~2/16") and the high E at 2.25mm (~3/32"). There is some possibility to lower action further by sanding down nut and saddle. The guitar is string with Bronze 53/12 strings.
Guitar has typical wear for its age. One noticeable finish ding near sound-hole (see photos). No cracks. Beautiful top and back solid wood pieces with warm sunburst finish. No visible date stamp but likely mid/late 1960s. Small frets with minimal wear. With a 1.75" nut-width, this guitar is perfect for fingerstyle country blues (where the ladder bracing really shines; think Mance Lipscomb).
Guitar is sold as-is. Please study pictures carefully and ask questions. I will do my best to answer them as completely as I am able. I am not a professional retailer; while I will endeavor to respond quickly, please be aware that sometimes I may not be able to do so due to work and family obligations.
This guitar was a thrift store find, with restoration work done locally by a professional luthier. While I enjoy playing it, I am selling it because I have too many guitars.
