Hi guys, I’m selling this gorgeous Hohner JJ Bass, active electric bass from 1988!
I inherited the bass in the condition that you can see it in the photos and unfortunately I don't know how to play it, but I can say that everything works well.
The sound in my opinion is very very beautiful. The neck is straight and the action is low.
The strings are extremely old and definitely need to be replaced.
On the back I inserted a new 9V battery into the appropriate compartment to test the instrument even when “active” (see photo). The switch near the knobs allows you to decide whether to use the bass either as active (the red LED lights up) or - vice versa - as passive (red LED off).
Cosmetically there are minimal signs of wear, but nothing serious.
I saw that this bass is currently being sold for 900 euros by an ebayer user from Japan.
