My mom purchased this violin for me in 2009 I believe, when I was in high school and seriously studying music performance. I went on to study violin performance at NAU but had to leave after my first year due to health issues. I played this instrument on and off over the next decade, but overall it has had limited use. I wondered if I'd ever return to a serious pursuit of music but now I know it's time to let go. This instrument is ready for a new home and someone who will cherish and play it frequently. Great step-up violin for serious student players.
Included in sale price:
- 4/4 violin Juzek replica made by Amati's Fine Instruments
- Violin mute
- Carbon fiber bow
- Brazilwood bow
- Kun shoulder rest with two long legs (for players who like a higher shoulder rest)
- Spare short leg for Kun shoulder rest (can swap out with long leg for standard shoulder rest height)
- Hildersine rosin
- Hill peg compound
- Sapphire blue hard shell contour case (comes with two button clasp bow holders, exterior sheet music pocket, interior accessory pocket, adjustable backpack straps, and cover cloth)
For best sound, strings and bow hair should be replaced. I personally enjoyed pairing Thomastik Infeld Red strings with this violin for a warm, dappled, foresty sound (at least that's how I interpreted the sound).
