About This Listing

One lifetime owner. One very well loved guitar!

This super-cool Starfire V may have seen "better days" to some, but we love it just as it is. This worn-in Guild is a 335 killer with rich and resonant semi-hollow tone that sings with single note lines as well as it strums. There is a lot of wear to note, so look over the pictures carefully! Guild players tend to ride em til the wheels fall off, and this one is no exception! While being played, miraculously the guitar has retained most of it's hardware and electronics. The only thing seemingly non-original to the guitar are the knobs, which tended to crack and break like the Gibson reflector knobs. The pickups sound incredible, so we're glad to see the LB-1s survived the journey! Quacky and fat, and with not too much output. They dirty up nicely, and do svelte clean tones that would satisfy a solid-state amp jazzer. The Starfire is wildly versatile to begin with- but with a long run of string behind the bridge to the tailpiece means you can experiment with overtones and feedback, which always serves as a nice party trick.

Good condition, includes a modern fitted hardshell case!
