About This Listing

97' Gibson Les Paul Standard bass. - LPB-3.

This bass was recently purchased from Ishibashi music in Tokyo Japan and brought back home to the USA. Gibson USA confirmed this bass was sold directly to the Japanese distributor which I believe was possibly Yamano at the time. Japanese distributers/buyers tend to only buy only the best of the best from Gibson.

This bass is a stunner. Beautiful deep translucent Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Bass has little to no fret wear, plays and sounds as it should. Very very thick grand piano like tone but still very versatile. Ding on the back of the body where it looks like the common case bite happened otherwise amazing condition. Another tiny ding on edge of fretboard near 3rd fret. (this cannot be felt and is very tiny.)

All original. The 97 LPB-3 comes with Gibson TB-plus pickups with factory active Bartolini tct preamp.

The 90's Gibsons have some of the best wood and fit and finish especially the quality of ebony fretboards used during that time period as seen in the photos. OHSC included. Weight comes in at around 10.75lb

Don't Miss out! These basses do not come up very often, many of them are in Japan and shipping these days from Japan is currently running over $400 with customs fees. Let's find this Beautiful example a great home.
