Love this fretless, but times are a changing, and moving to other projects. This is an excellent top end hand made bass (Rob Elrick sends these out for manufacture and then confirms they are as perfect as his hand carved editions before he releases them into the wild). I have flat wound stainless steel strings on it currently, but have used round wound, half round and tape wound strings and each provides its own unique sound. This Elrick Standard e-Volution bass is the last Standard e-Volution 4 bass with a lightweight Swamp Ash body.
The incredibly comfortable neck and low playing action loudly speak to boutique craftsmanship of this bass. The featherweight body makes the bass seem to float/disappear while playing it with a strap. A wide palette of tone shaping is at your finger tips with the onboard 3-Band EQ preamp.
