About This Listing

An updated version of the Lockhart wavefolder

Functionally, the circuit is the same as its predecessor in that it produces a folded version of the input signal as well as an asymmetric pulse train which is generated whenever the folded waveform crosses zero - where it differs is that instead of separate outputs for each, there's a single output and the folded and pulsed signals can be mixed to generate a broader sonic palette.

Works best with triangle or sine-based inputs, and is a great way to thicken up a sound - you may get some interesting noises out using a sawtooth/ramp waveform but square waves won't really do an awful lot. Works really well with a bandpass filter.

The input level and bias controls are still there, but there's now the mix pot and the single output. However, despite all these differences it still manages to fit in 2HP.
