Up for grabs is a vintage Framus Long Neck 5-String banjo with chipboard style hard case included. This banjo features a long neck design not commonly found and a unique tension rod system for the rim. It has the original Framus head installed and appears to have all the original hardware as well. Not much information was available from the previous owner, but it's believed to be a 1970's and made in Germany.
Banjo is in need of service as the neck is bowed to a point making the upper frets non-playable and the lower fret area's action too high for comfortable play. The rest of the banjo is in good shape aside from normal cosmetic wear (see photos).
Would make for a great project banjo and/or a collectible for a Framus fan!
