A fantastic, well played in, superior concert classical guitar built by the legendary Manuel Velasquez. This is a significant year because it's the first year that Velasquez moved to back to New York and began building by hand again.

The label is a little washed out. I think this is why my luthier found the top signed not once but twice on the inside!!

(See pictures)

Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood 650 scale, 52 in nut.

I have two nuts cut for this guitar, one with a slightly tighter string spacing low to high e.

No cracks or repairs on the top.

One very slight repair on the extreme edge of the upper bout on the back, But other than some playing wear the guitar is in fantastic condition, esp for a 57 year old instrument.

Most Velasquez guitars are going from $25 to $30,000, so this is a fantastic price for a player who wants a true concert guitar!!

Velasquez Guitars were played by Paul Simon, Jorge Morel, Rey de la Torre, Harry Belafonte, Ichiro Suzuki, Earl Klugh, and Eliot Fisk. Velázquez was admired by Segovia who apparently tried to buy one but got into a disagreement with another famous luthier....and it never worked out!
