2007 Brent McElroy 00 12 fret custom model with Adirondack spruce top and a highly figured 5A Koa back and sides
One word to describe this custom 00 offering from Brent McElroy and that’s stunning! Based in Seattle, he’s a highly respected luthier and builds incredible guitars and this is no exception. It has one of the most jaw dropping Koa back and sides we’ve ever seen and this is matched by a top quality straight grained, stiff Adirondack top.
It plays fantastically well and has some wonderful luxury appointments including the spalted maple rosette and bound headstock with luxury 510 tuners in gold. As a 12 fret it has a nice deep bass for it’s size and the neck and body feel incredibly comfortable. The Koa offers a sweet tone and because it’s over 16 years old, this has mellowed beautifully and the Adirondack provides the power and punch as a perfect compliment.
Despite being 16 years old, this guitar is in immaculate condition and it travels in a luxury brown cedar creek hardcase.
