Teisco TRE-100 w/Working Amp and Speaker

A very nice vintage Teisco TRE-100 Electric Guitar with working Amp and Speaker, and Gold Foil Pickup, dating from the mid 1960's, with new Gator Gig Bag, offered for sale here.
 The Teisco TRE-100 electric guitar is in overall very good plus condition with with fairly light wear for a guitar of this age, and the finish has no finish checking to speak of. The finish on all the chrome plated parts is pretty clean and bright for its age (the flash from the digital camera sometimes brings out marks that are not visible to the naked eye). The metal pickguard has an aluminum finish, and the oval nameplate that goes below the bridge assembly is present but there is no lettering on it.. The battery compartment cover is original.
 The neck is straight and a bit on the chunky side, and it actually has dots on the side of the neck to guide you guitarists that depend on them as much as I do. The action is quite low for a Teisco, the string height is 5/32 inch at the low E string and 1/8 inch at the high E string. On the high E string the note at the 10th and 11th fret are the same note, if you use the guitar as an open tuning slide guitar that is not really an issue. I would recommend using this guitar strictly for slide. The tuners hold tuning well. The tone control works in reverse as sometimes occurs with these, one full is high gain and 10 is low gain.
  The amp and speaker work well, not a lot of volume but good for 2 AM or later living room couch sessions with your dogs asleep a few feet away in front of the wood stove and your wife asleep in the bedroom one floor above you, she will not be disturbed nor awakened.
  The coolness of the built in amp/speaker feature notwithstanding, this guitar really shines when plugged into an amplifier.

 As heard on the You Tube video, this is a great sounding guitar, that gold foil pickup puts out like a "mother****er" to quote a common bluesman descriptive expletive. The volume and tone on the guitar are turned up to 10, and the volume and tone on my Fender 59 Bassman Ltd. reissue amplifier are at quite high levels.
