About This Listing

1994 Epiphone El Capitan Acoustic Electric Bass Cherryburst MIK Korea + OHSC Case + Hang Tag

30 year old beauty! Hard to believe this bass is 30 years old and looking this good! All electronics work as intended. Neck is straight and action is low. Truss rod functions as intended. This is the 1994 El Capitan model that was made in Korea at the Samick factory. Comes with original Epiphone hardshell case and also the original hang tag! Bonus set of strings are included that were in the case. I haven’t tried these strings but am including them as they are phosphor bronze strings and meant for acoustic electric basses. Extra strings look clean and usable but just thrown in as an extra.

This is a 34“ Long Scale Bass.

The new Epiphone El Capitan J-200 basses are 30.5” short scale and are made in Indonesia. They do not come with a hardshell case. This El Capitan is priced at the cost of a new El Capitan but you get quality made Korean workmanship along with the original hardshell case, hang tag and extra strings!

This is the one you want!

Please see all pics and video for more details.

This is a pre owned guitar that has been around for 30 years and as such will show some signs of wear commensurate of age and use.

Bass plays great as is but any personal cleaning, setup, maintenance or repairs will be the new owners responsibility.
