About This Listing

The 620 equipped with toaster pickups. This one definitely boosts the Rickenbacker vibe in terms of looks.

A used Rickenbacker 620 VP has arrived. It's from 2001. While the semi-hollow body models are quite well-known, this solid body model is also quite renowned. It features the iconic toaster pickups, and the controls are unique to Rickenbacker, with two output channels that you don't see people using often. Additionally, there's the "Rick O Sound" jack, which, when connected with a stereo cable, allows for separate output from each pickup. It seems like a feature with potential for interesting applications, but so far, there haven't been many creative uses in regular band settings.

With a maple body and maple neck, this guitar has a through-neck construction. While the regular models come with high-gain pickups, this one sports toaster pickups, known for their bright sound. Visually, it exudes that unmistakable Rickenbacker vibe. Its compact size also makes it a good fit for guitarists who sing while playing.

Condition: Professionally cleaned and set up with new strings (D'Addario).

No problem with the electric systems. Neck is straight and the truss rod works with no issues. Frets remain over 50 percent.

Although it has signs of use such as scratches, dents and paint chips, the overall appearance is clean.

Comes with a hard case.

Product Overview
Part of Rickenbacker's 600 series, each of which is fashioned into Ric's classic cresting wave body shape, the Rickenbacker 620 electric guitar was initially intended to be an update to the 610 and 615. However, the 620 didn't prove to be as popular as its cousins, the 330 and 360 -- but that doesn't exclude a number of famous players from counting it as a favorite, including Steven Van Zandt and Mike Campbell.
