Here just in on trade we are proud to offer a fine piece of Japanese guitar craft.

This is a first series Tama ‘Lawsuit’ Martin D-45 replica, it is toward the higher end of the scale with a fine grade spruce top and in full trim she's about the best of things Japanese.

A rare piece with the original spec and vertical TAMA logo, only made for a short time in 1974 before they changed the design, those guitars are not of this quality.

These are hard to find, not a great number were made, only one other for sale online currently at a higher price..

This one is a true D-45 replica in the sense that they did not install an adjustable truss rod in this version (staying true to the original Martin blueprint), and copied all the other features as seen with a vintage Martin D-45.

Of course a 70’s D-45 would set you back ten times our asking price here!!

So there are some differences, yet the vibe, looks, design and more importantly tone is really all there.

The guitar is nice and easy to play with a low action having been treated to a full professional service.

Cosmetic condition very good for age (50 years old) a reasonable amount of character wear as pictured yet no appreciable damage, no cracks or apparent repairs, some light cosmetic retouches that blend in well to the original finish have been done to uplift the piece and protect the guitar for the future.

Structural condition very good to excellent with the bridge having been shaved sometime in the past to allow the action to be lowered further, as seen with many half-century old acoustics.

This is one of the best D-45 attempts made by any maker (and we have owned/restored probably all of them!), and so it really is a sweet guitar in all respects.
