About This Listing

This is an incredibly good sounding McIlroy AS56CN Crossover with Brazilian Cocobolo back and sides, and the finest Italian 'Val di Fiemme' spruce for the top. The guitar carries serial number #1334 and, as we have come to expect from McIlroy, the build- and sound quality is of the highest level.

The AS is a small jumbo with a body the size of a classical guitar. Even though this guitar has slightly less volume than the other models, the volume is still surprising. Many guitarists find this guitar very comfortable to hold, especially classical players and those accustomed to an OM. McIlroy has something extra in store for this AS56CN; it is the very first McIlroy with a 12 fret neck joint!

Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood and is known for its extensive grain and style, providing a stunning appearance, which the back and sides of this guitar certainly prove. It also adds warmth and phenomenal articulation to the sound. The attention to detail and the finish of this McIlroy are very refined. The body is decorated with a beautifully shaped ebony bridge, abalone rosette and a koa binding with maple and rosewood purfling. An abalone Celtic knot at the 12th fret and cocobolo headstock veneer complement the gold Schaller tuners and Brazilian mahogany neck.

The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in a Hiscox hardshell case.
