The MJ2-STD/M model is handmade using carefully selected top-quality materials by craftsmen who are recognized for their technical skills.

This is made with ash wood for the body and maple for the fingerboard, with wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard, heel-less cutting, and a joint plate dropped into the body, all of which are directly related to playability and incorporate a modern, high-level approach to manufacturing.

[Neck]

Selected maple wood is used for the fingerboard and neck.

The back of the neck is finished with a satin finish, and wood binding of the same material as the fingerboard is applied to preserve the original sound of the wood, while the neck shape is comfortable in the hand and allows smooth fingering with minimal tugging. The rod adjuster is located on the head side and has a wider adjustment hole for smooth adjustment.

[Body]

Ash wood is used for the body, which is characterized by good attack response and a clear, crisp, and clear sound. The joints are heel-less cut to reduce stress in the high position, and the joint plates, which affect the sound, are dropped into the body to achieve higher playability while maintaining the sound of a traditional jazz bass. This allows for higher playability without sacrificing the traditional jazz bass sound. The neck pocket is not too tight, but just tight enough to share the characteristics of the neck and body materials and the sound of each, creating a sense of unity and allowing you to confirm the craftsmanship that only handmade basses can achieve.

[Pickups/Controls]

The pickups are free of any peculiarities and naturally output the characteristics of the wood and the original sound of the instrument, faithfully reproducing the dynamics of the tone and the nuances of the player. The controls are simple 2 volume and 1 tone. The controls are simple, with 2 volume and 1 tone, allowing for a wide range of natural jazz bass sound regardless of the genre.

[Hardware/Parts]

The bridge is a GOTOH "203B-4" with brass saddles, and the pegs are GOTOH "GB11W".

The bridge is equipped with a GOTOH "203B-4" brass saddle, and the pegs are also equipped with GOTOH's "GB11W" pegs. The parts such as the oil-soaked ox bone nut and JESCAR fret wire are also manufactured with great care.

[Sound Impression]

Compared to the alder body and maple fingerboard, it has a brighter sound with more range in the upper register.

The response responds linearly to the attack, and the grain is sharp and crisp. In addition to the high playability of the dropped plate, heel-less cut, and wood binding on the neck side for smooth playing, you can enjoy a jazz bass sound that is based on the vintage sound, but more compatible with modern styles.

Enjoy the rich sound and refined tone that you can feel straight away from the characteristics of the carefully selected wood.
