About This Listing

Korg Prophecy - Circa '95 monophonic solo/lead performance synthesizer.

A strange animal, with a very digital collection of early virtual analog, FM, and physical modeling engines. It doesn't really sound like anything else and is lots of fun to explore. The real time performance controls are extensive and the instrument really does want to be "played."

Dig around a bit on YT and you'll find some really top notch cats (like Jan Hammer, Joe Zawinul, BT, and The Prodigy) were fans of this synth.

This one is in decent condition - some cosmetic scuffs and scratches, but the screen is nice and bright (and I did put in a new battery.) - buttons can be finicky but best I can tell everything works (could just need a cleaning.) - the audio output seems low (don't know if that's normal or if there is a global setting I needed to tweak.)

Local Atlanta 30066 pickup preferred, but domestic lower 48 shipping is also an option. No international purchases please. I'm happy to arrange a video call for serious buyers as all sales are final.

Any questions just give a shout.

Cheers!

Product Overview
The Korg Prophecy was an acclaimed early analog modeling synth from the mid-90s. It featured fat sounding oscillators and realistically modeled filters, with digital patch storage and other modern conveniences that made it quite popular. It was also capable of physical modeling and FM synthesis for a wide variety of sounds.
