About This Listing
The Custom 24 is one of the brand's most popular models. It is made of flame maple and features metallic-looking bird inlays. The pickups have a wide range, and the 5-way selector can be used to control the sound from hum to a single-like sound, making this guitar suitable for all genres. Its powerful output and slightly sharp yet rich midrange make it especially easy to use for lead guitar.
There is one noticeable ding on the side of the body near the controls. There is a white discoloration on the top of the body near the pickups. There are other signs of use such as scratches and dents. The neck is in good playing condition. Pickups (Front:VINTAGE BASS, Rear:HFS) Back panel is missing.

This "in-between" phase of the PRS Custom 24 marks the switch from Brazilian Rosewood to Indian Rosewood, though the 5-way rotary selector was still in place at this time, later replaced by a "blade" switch as is used on the most recent production guitars. This era also saw the first "explosion" of finish / color options offered by PRS.
