About This Listing
Up for sale, a 1991 Epiphone Sorrento ES-930J hollowbody in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. A rarely seen model produced in small quantities at the Terada factory in Japan, this Sorrento is one of the finest examples of this model ever produced, hailing from the same factory as the subsequent Elitist line.
With a mahogany neck and fully hollow maple body construction, this Sorrento has a full, open natural acoustic response with clear treble cut, featherweight at only 6lbs 10oz. The stock pair of P-90s are quite full-sounding, distinct in each position on the three-way pickup selector. Sensitive to picking dynamics and with a glassy snap, the pickups have quintessential P-90 midrange growl and focused low end. This Sorrento has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
