For your vintage rockin' pleasure, we present this 1980 Epiphone Genesis Standard in a Wine Red finish. Those in the know on these vintage Epiphone secrets understand how killer they are. Mahogany body and neck with a lush rosewood fingerboard. Research reveals that these were made in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. We couldn't tell you where this one was constructed, but wherever it was, it's a well-built rocking machine. This guitar has a few signs of wear, with a significant ding near the input jack. We did our best to picture the imperfections. But it's been inspected by one of the top luthiers in SLC, and is in perfect working order. It plays and sounds like a dream with low action. As big 'Gibso-philes,' this Genesis plays and sounds as good as any of our 70s or 80s-era Gibson Les Pauls and SGs. It comes stock with the mini-toggle switch for a coil tap. We own three Genesis guitars from this era. Comes with its stock humbucker pickups. This guitar punches way above its weight class relative to vintage guitars of the era. Those who know about old-school vintage Epiphones know. It comes with its original hard-shell case.
