This CT6 is a 2004 or 2005 model and it is nearly immaculate. It has a beautiful piano black carved top with gold hardware and an ebony fretboard with stunning abalone inlays. The 16-inch radius means it's well suited for shredding, and the Carvin ceramic humbuckers give you a nice crunchy tone that becomes a roar when you turn it up. The tone knob has a push-pull pot for coil splitting/tapping and the Sperzel locking tuners make sure you stay in tune. The mahogany body and maple cap make this a solid axe but it weighs in at a very comfortable 7.9 pounds.
The overall feel of this Carvin is one of serious quality--even the knurled knobs have heft. Note that there is one notch on the headstock by the high e tuning key (see photo) but this guitar is in superb shape otherwise. The hardshell case has a few knicks but the interior is plush and the locks latch tightly.
I bought this guitar earlier this year and I find that it's not in the rotation enough for me to keep it. My loss is your gain.
If you're watching it, make me an offer. See my reviews and buy with confidence.
P.S. Black cat not included. I know he's a handsome kitty--but I'm keeping him.
