About This Listing

Very rare 1968 Sunburst Fender Villager 12-String acoustic. This one appears all original best we can tell, minus the strap pins and strings. Most of these were natural, but a few made it out with the sunburst back and sides but still had a natural top side…..odd, but all original!

As with most of these, the tension of strings over the years has loosened the neck mounting main block. As such, the neck bolts onto the block but the block isn’t fully centered or set into the body correctly. Take a look at the pics, the main block will need to be fixed at a minimum, but a pro repair would include a top removal as well. Lots of finish checking and splits.

Neck is dated 27JUL68C; and is in really wonderful condition. Backside is totally smooth, headstock has some wonderful finish checking. It’s a great piece and certainly worth asking price alone, especially with the all original super clean hardware. These were basically Stratocaster XII necks to my understanding. Just a neat piece of history here, made in Fenders Santa Ana, CA facility just a few miles up the road.

Will be packed well to ensure a safe journey, ships via UPS fully insured. The neck will be separated from the body, no exceptions. Please note this is a project that needs work, it is being sold for parts or restoration. IT IS NOT PLAYABLE! As such, no returns and is being sold as is listed, as is pictured. I’m not in a rush to sell it, but would like to see it go to a good home. Don’t miss it!
