1951 C.G. Conn 22I 4-Valve "Fast/Short Action Valve" Bell-Front Silver-plated Bb Euphonium. It features a unique “naked lady” engraving, and it has 4-valves. The serial number, 394xxx, puts this instrument at 1951. It’s in fair, used condition with dents around several areas of the horn, and a bit of oxidation on the bottom of the 2nd and 4th valves as visible in the photos above. "Choice of the artists among top players who require the extra range quality of the four valve euphonium. Famous short action valves contribute to the ease of playing. Hydraulic expansion, an exclusive Conn process, contributes to the advantages of Cali-Bore... Cali-Bore from tone chamber to bell flare protects the bore tapers and produces "big sound" required by discriminating band masters. Smooth, faster valves 1/3 shorter action, Crysteel pin-guide valve pistons, extra range, Lustre-Conn finish, interchangeable bell."
