Yamaha RX15 Digital Rhythm Programmer 1980s - Black

Yamaha RX15 Vintage Drum Machine.

I had one of these brand new in the day when I was going thru a keyboard midi phase in the mid 80s. I think these came out mid to late 80s.

So this one, like mine did at times, has some of the pads that will double hit when you push them to play rhythms. This is better used with a external controller, but certainly could be used stand alone. I used to do programs using the step method, rather than real time, and with that the key sometimes double hitting is not an issue like in real time.

Anyways, if you are looking at this you probably know what it is. This one is in good solid shape. I'd love to keep it but I can't keep everything.

Cool vintage sounds here, and some cool patterns can be had with the internal programing once you learn that. I would sometimes create a pattern, and the midi out and let that pattern control one of my keyboards for some real cool funky riffs.
