About This Listing

A "The Paul" from the first year of production. This guitar caused quite a stir at the time with its "back to basic" design and still impresses today with its simple elegance.

Made in the USA, year of manufacture: 1978.

Body and neck are made of walnut wood.

The neck provides a very pleasant playing feel with a low string action. Quite wide, medium profile, 12" fingerboard radius, Grover tuners. The fingerboard is made of ebony with 22 medium jumbo frets.

Fitted with the sought-after Gibson T-Top humbucker pickups.

Weight: 3.72 kg.

Comes exactly as pictured in a 70s Gibson "Chainsaw Case" with one clasp broken and another already a little worn. The case can still be closed, but a lashing strap is included for safety.

In good condition for its age with the normal signs of wear and patina of a guitar that has been played often and with pleasure - see pictures. The frets have been freshly polished and have only minimal signs of use.
