The is a very rare trasitional late production 1967 Gibson ES-125TDC just acquired from its 1 & only owner, a Mr. Mike Gerard, purchased at Sam Ash in Hempstead New York. Its a thinline, full hollow “Archtop” guitar based on the ES-125, produced by Gibson between 1960 and 1970, which to many people is one of the most under appreciated vintage Gibson guitars out there. It’s got a very cool Ice Tea Sunburst finish only made during its last few years of production. Its 1 piece mahogany neck has a nice full feeling  to it & has what appears as a late Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, as Gibson started steering away from Brazilian in the mid 60’s. These guitars had laminate maple bodies, but are very resonant and vibrant sounding. Its 2 “dog ear” P-90 pickups are what you’d expect & along w/its original ABR-1 “Tune-o-Matic” bridge set in the body (this replaced its wooden bridge pre-1967), & makes these late 125’s simply superb players guitars. Still sporting its double line Kluson 3-in-line tuners & its chrome tailpiece. Its see-thru Tortoise’gard & chrome capped gold knobs finish her off just beautifully. She comes equipped w/its nice original (from Sam Ash) Black gator hard case.
