Chrome is in very good shape having no rust. Guitar finish is clean with one blemish. (see pics). New neck is roasted and flamed maple. It looks marvelous. It is fitted with a bidirectional truss rod. Far easier to play than original stock "baseball bat" neck. Roller bridge and proper neck shim and angle makes for vastly improved sustain and clarity. All work done professionally. One of us is an experienced and trained luthier. The other is likely half mad. Why else would we do this kind of work and loose money?

I have tried my best to accurately describe this guitar as well I know how in words and pictures. This guitar is also listed as for sale elsewhere. It has been gone thru by a professional luthier with whom I have restored/modified a number of other guitars. This guitar has been kept in a temperature and humidity controlled environment, usually in a case. I have played it and had it over a period of months and worked out as much as I can see and feel playing it. I am not making a profit by selling guitars. I just need to thin the herd and have to make some tough choices. But I cannot make any guarantees express or implied. Stuff does happen with guitars in the process of shipping alone. Because I cannot control anything about changes in environment or handling once it leaves my possession, I cannot accept returns. The best I can do is insure all of my guitar shipments.

Product Overview
Guyatone was founded in 1933 but didn't make guitars until 1951 under the Tokyo Sound Company moniker. Guyatones were sometimes badged as Kent, Kingston, Marco Polo or Winston as very early Japanese imports in the late 1950s and 1960s.
