1980 Greco LesPaul Custom EG600CB w/Bigsby Solid Top Long Neck Tenon

Northwest Vintage Guitar brings you a Greco Black Beauty Les Paul Custom with the Ink Stamp Serial number.  This one is so cool and vibey with an added Bigsby B7 vibrato and those amazing PU2 A5 pickups that sound like the real thing.  This beauty features a solid Mahogany Body, Carved Maple Cap, and a one piece Mahogany neck and a long neck tenon.  It's a high spec Fujigen made Greco model from 1980 with the Ink Stamped serial number.  Called "Inkies", these limited run offerings were an obvious nod to Gibson's 50's serial number scheme.  And the quality is top notch all the way around.

The Mahogany neck is clean and clear of any large nicks, dings or digs and feels silky smooth in the hand.  The nut measures 1.7", .85" first fret depth, 1.00" at the 12th on a full C tapered carve with moderate shoulder.  Feels like a fat Norlin era Gibson carve, but fatter with more taper.  They even added a volute!  The dark Rosewood fretboard is in great shape and the frets are silky smooth with a fresh level, dress and polish.  Very nice playing experience with low action and new D'Addario Nickel XL 10's, perfect intonation, and comfy neck. 

The PU2 pickups are the PAF clones of the day and like the PAFs, they feature Alnico 5 magnets and the same specs as the PAF.  7.32 ohms at the bridge, 7.29 at the neck and vintge tone for days.  They offer great warm clarity and attack with plenty of woody mids and lows.  You can dial in some honkiness or get that woman tone.  Anything an LP can do.  

She tips the scales at 9.13 very well balanced pounds and quite svelty for this era.  There's some bumps and bruises , but she wears them well.  There's finish fills on the tuner screw holes, on the upper bout, and around the switch cover.  There's some buckle rash as pictured and a hole under the Bigsby for a ground strap.  There's a crack in the binding on the bass side of the neck at the 12th fret that cant really be felt.
