The Collings 00 12-Fret is a guitar shape that was first designed around the time of the Civil War. Its dimensions are similar to a typical classical guitar, with a slotted headstock and small pyramid bridge. The comfortable size and timeless appearance of the Collings 00 is matched by the ease of playing a wide neck and shorter string scale affords.
This 001 12-Fret is built with all Honduran Mahogany top, back, sides and neck, a nod to the depression era style builds but with modern construction. Features include Ebony fretboard, pyramid bridge and headstock overlay, Sitka Spruce pre-war style scalloped X braces, Nickel Waverly tuners, black/ white multi-stripe top purfling and rosette, 1 13/16″ nut width, 2 5/16″ saddle spacing and 24 7/8″ short scale length.
The 00 12-Fret is very comfortable to play, be it the couch, stage or studio. This versatile size has adopted it for a wide range of playing styles from simple vocal accompaniment to blues, to ragtime solos. When you want the durability of a modern guitar but one that appears rooted in an earlier, simpler time, the 00 is a versatile choice.
Includes original TKL hardshell case.
